Pressurized Vessels for Oxygen, Nitrogen, LPG and Hydrogen

PRODUCT DETAILS:

CHS Industrial supplies pressurized vessels (storage tanks) for Oxygen & Nitrogen as well specialized cryogenic cylinders for LPG, Liquid Nitrogen, Hydrogen and Helium.

THE BEST WAY TO STORE LIQUEFIED PETROLEUM GAS

One liter of LPG can be stored as efficiently as 270 liters of natural gas when it is liquefied in order to maximize its storage potential. Liquifying it, however, requires specific cooling and pressure conditions, which must also be maintained during storage (and potential transportation).  This problem can be solved by the use of LPG tanks or other alternatives such as an underground LPG tank, an LP gas tank, or a small LPG tank.

Cryogenic tanks with flat bottoms are one of the most efficient ways to store LPG, with capacities ranging from 1,000 to 30,000 m3. LPG tanks come with a number of risks to consider:

  • Explosions are possible
  • There is also a risk of asphyxiation from LPG leaks
  • The substance is extremely flammable
  • Contact with liquefied LPG can cause severe burns

THE USES OF LPG TANKS

There are many applications for liquefied petroleum gas, such as:

  • The use of heating (particularly popular in off-grid homes
  • Cooking appliances
  • Alternative fuel for cars and other vehicles
  • Refrigerant
  • Industrial uses

As with LNG tanks, LPG tanks provide easy access to LPG and are the most efficient way to store and transport it.
